I am a Christian and the bible is literally a book. They could burn bibles all day and it has nothing to do with my faith. Especially harming anyone for doing so is insane.
But see, the Bible and Quran are different with regard to desecration in a very key way:
The Quran literally calls Muslims to arms when dealing with people who defame their religion. And it makes it expressly clear that Muslims have an obligation to make sure copies of it (mushaf) are handled respectfully in a way that the Bible does not.
Then I guess these folks need to decide if they wanna really be American or not. Because that whole ‘my religion is the only religion and I’ll kill you over it’ thing is not representative of the good American values like those represented by Lady Liberty. Your religion tell you what you can or can’t do , not what other folks can or can’t do. Seems like there need to be more Quran burnings until these folks figure that out. And so as not to be discriminatory we can burn the Torah and the Bible alongside it.
Unless of course you read any history.
