Midnight is really shaping up to be following in FF’s footsteps—same formulaic dungeons/raids/delves + one casual-focused, non-combat feature and a single spec of a class is even worse than endwalker in terms of adding fresh gameplay design. Not surprising seeing as they’ve pretty much spent the last two expansions copying FF—fast travel that trivializes the overworld in the form of dragonriding, follower dungeons/trusts, delves/variant dungeons (although they gave savage bis-equivalent as a reward so people love them), single-button rotation (functionally equivalent to ff class design) etc etc
