Not sure when "upgrades to 4k and 60fps" and likely other stuff besides the assist stuff and the Rosalina stuff became "minimal". People have paid FULL RETAIL for less with some games.

Maybe. But even the 4k and 60fps, book additions, and assist mode imply more than just some changed polygons.
When Sony remastered a game on PS3/PS4, you paid full price for the game.
I paid $40 for the Spyro reignited trilogy at release 🤷🏼♂️
Which was a forgotten IP by a third party.
I remember the remasters of TLOU and each one being full price. Same for RE4 including the recent remake(which these seem to be*).
Up-resing a 15 year old port does not take a long time to do. They said the price increases to games like DK and Mario Kart were because of increased development costs due to the market. There's zero justification for this set to be the same price as one of those games. I know you love Nintendo but you don't have to glaze every decision to make, sometimes they can make anti-consumer decisions.
