Anytime the second skin is compromised, it needs to come off immediately. You should remove it ASAP and wash with antibacterial soap.
The swelling wouldn't concern me since it's SO new and you're walking on it. However, I cant tell from the photo if it's plasma collection or infection at the bottom and top of the tattoo. If youre concerned it probably wouldn't hurt to have a doctor peek at it. Tattoo infections can get gnarly really quick, I had an infection on my foot. Its better to be safe than sorry
I took it off, it didn’t hurt to do so. Washed it with warm water to remove some skin that was pealing. I put the lotion they gave me at the shop. If its red or redness has spread then Ill go to a doctor.
Make sure you're washing gently and not forcing any of the skin off prematurely. Otherwise good on you. Urgent Care can take care of this fast if it looks like it's needed and your tattoo should likely be fine.
Great news! I couldn't tell from the photos if it was from the second skin or not. Same as the other commenter, just keep an eye on it. Id assume the pain and swelling is from walking, and also being so new. I generally bruise and swell after as well.
