Arena commander has always been pitched as the place to test flight/weapons/ships in general. I'm not saying it doesn't accomplish this, what I am saying, is who gives a fuck about a game mode that will be dead 2 months after it releases, just like it and star marine are now. Would much rather see time/development spent on what people want: PU and SQ42 (I guess).
The only big advantage to AC, imo, is being able to get in and fight while having above 60fps. AC is buttery smooth, just a shame we can't experience this on the pu and yes, I know it's an alpha, I've heard that got almost 10 years now, we get it.
If AC was always bustling with people 24/7 I would agree, but it's empty, and boring. They have completely skirted theaters of war. That would have been actual fun.
Despite being mostly broken there are 4-5 full lobbies a night
