Damn I've been thinking the same back when a friend has played BAMA like 2 or so leagues ago lol.
I also have been thinking about what to play with bows, now that ele bows should be way easier to roll without res being able to roll. Seems like my (our) time has come :D
Edit: Just 5 minutes into PoB I realize I'd rather attack myself lol. It's been years since my last bow build, I crave the point and kill.
Yeah I’m gonna try it. Was deciding between that and ice nova last league so it looks like an easy choice this time haha if I’m going to be required to have a minion in the form of a merc, might as well go all out

Early thoughts on BAMA champ? Not worth it over the other two ascendancies?
Decent chance it isn't. Still wrapping up alot of work-related stuff. Will check this weekend what I can cook up.
But from past experiences, champion has worse pathing (takes more points), less damage and building around fort stacks isn't "free".
Gut feeling tells me it isn't good enough compared to other options.
Guardian on the other hand... looks more promising.
What part of the guardian is enticing you? The shrine one? Because that seems a bit random, and the 50% reservation one is a 4 pointer, right?
The latter. 3rd and 4th Lab are kinda meh on Guardian Bama so getting the reservation feels fine.
I only toyed around for a few minutes but you can squeeze in alot of Auras, or save alot of points. Both options are great.
There is even a cheeky tripple Purity setup thats possible.

its not op you want PERMANENT cooldown reduction in everysingle version of bama max life, lighting or poison that thing is completly useless
Necro is probably still better, but it is funny how under-the-radar BAMA is simply because of the playstyle. Meanwhile, shit like Fire Trap is getting touched for some reason.
Necro will be better, but Guardian will be so much cheaper and will make a great starter build.
Fire Trap is the single-target aspect of RF, which has massive playrate, which also ate indirect nerfs in some other places like glove/amulet affixes.
They're also trying to buff things like scorching ray + channeling so probably trying to make RF play that instead.
We did lose the 150% minion dmg enchant tho, so not like it's all + since last league, but merc+runes could do some work and guardian+AG changes are welcome.
What was that enchant?
Increases and Reductions to Minion Damage also affect you at 150% of their value.
One of the runecrafting enchants. In the end-game it was like a sizeable chunk of dps, like 15-20% depending on setup etc.

Though, I'm sure I can make it work. There's probably some juicy merc bow mods.
Minion builds seem tempting. Spectres and AG got more interesting.
