Well. You need to provide something that someone is willing to shell out money for. There's gotta be an inconvenient problem that you can solve that will result in making life easy for the person who has that problem.
That's it in a nut shell. In my case, I am building an AI therapy bot that would allow users to express themselves in a private corner while having access to an exclusive community of members who all downloaded the AI bot.
If all else fails, make that inconvenient problem, THEN offer your services to solve it... For a fee
Lowkey a great idea but who talks to robots if they're not feeling alright 🙁 some might do but that's not normal and maybe concerning....
People who don't trust other people with their thoughts. You be surprised how much people self censor themselves. Especially when it comes to formal therapy. God forbid you express thoughts of committing self harm, your therapist will report you to the authorities and you get into the psych ward.
At least with the bot, you don't have to worry about that happening. Mental health is seriously Barbaric.
Just my opinion but your idea sounds comically bad. Almost as bad as your understanding of how therapists operate. You should educate yourself on when therapists have to report.
Not to mention unethical and possibly legally liable.
How is it a bad idea? Even if I had an misunderstanding of a therapist work, most people can't afford them or have the opportunity to engage with one. My bot will supplement their therapy needs if they can't afford a therapist or can't access a therapist due to circumstances.
Before even going into any details or whatever, the biggest reason why your idea is bad is because it’s already being done. Presumably by people who have more experience and money than you.
Yeah, it can be really tough to open up to someone, especially when you're afraid of the consequences. A lot of people just need a safe space to vent without feeling judged or at risk. If your idea can help people feel more secure, it might really resonate with those who are hesitant about traditional therapy.
Yeah, you get it. Exactly
Omg what? Isn't the therapist's job to help them? that's the first time I've heard that, I don't know about therapies a lot tho. Thank you for this!
Why wouldn’t they just use chatgpt?
Chat GPT limits your conversations. Multiple users that I have surveyed reported that it is annoying to deal with after a while as Chat GPT becomes unreliable as the conversation continues. It also tends to hallucinate quite often. That's when the user takes a break and goes to Microsoft Copilot to continue their venting.
