Restore AllHide Unarchived/r/watchpeopledie isn't about inciting or encouraging violence/murder. It's shows you multiple things. Sometimes people die unexpectedly, and randomly, or they are murdered, sometimes premeditated, sometimes not. That sub is a great way to show you how one minute can take your life. Weather freak accidents, crime infested nations, it's all about showing how different parts of the World are. /r/watchpeopledie doesn't focus on any group or individual beliefs, it shows you everything from around the World.
/r/incels focuses on women. How women cause all their problems, how shitty women are, how they deserve to be raped. It's a hate group. I'm no SJW, as I think r/watchpeopledie and r/incels are completely different in terms of "promoting" violence.
It boils down to intent. People on WPD don't encourage or want people to commit homicides, suicides, violence. People on incels seriously believe the things they say about women.
It glorifies death in many forms. It's just bad and it should be banned. People often make nasty comments there and have a great time mocking somebody's death. It's dehumanizing to say the least.
Please explain how it's glorified, besides it being a subreddit. I would say incels is way worse than watchpeopledie in terms of glorifying.
"Its just bad" isn't anything.
I said this somewhere else in this thread but...
WPD is absolutely not inciting or glorifying violence/death. I peruse that sub because death is fascinating to me and it's humbling. If anything, it's made me a better driver and a much safer person overall. Of course there are going to be people in the comments here and there that are complete assholes, but all subs are like that.
I'd say more like /r/thebullwins if you want to talk about subs that actively take pleasure in death and call for the deaths of people.
