Wow you look amazing! What are you wearing!!!
Steven flirting with his own wife and flirting because of Egyptian mythological garb... XD

Restore AllHide UnarchivedI want to see Steven scolding Khonshu about what a terrible God he is, and he would much rather have Tawaret as his Goddess.
I mean, he seemed rather happy to see the hippo too. Would be real funny to see Steven also serving as Tawaret's avatar as a middle finger to Khonshu.
i love when she shows up on the boat to save them from the sand wave thingy, Steven shouts "HIPPO!"
That makes me wonder, would it be possible for the 3 to serve as different Avatars? Like, Jake as Khonshu's Avatar, Steven as Tawaret's, and Marc as whoever else
From what I understand yes. It seems like they are able to die separately in the underworld and are able to have their souls judged separately so I would imagine they would be able to have different avatars
Now that would be an interesting dynamic lol
I could see Steven using his knowledge of Ancient Egypt to convince Marc to switch from Khonshu to Thoth, since Thoth is a moon god and a god of judgement, but also the god of writing, knowledge, science, art, and magic. Unless Thoth’s a dick (as many ancient deities tend to be), I could see him and Steven geeking out over nerdy Egyptology shit together.
To be honest other gods might not pick Marc because of his mental issues...
which oddly enough is why Khonshu did pick him
I wonder why the other avatars are so powerless though, or was it the shock of Ammit’s reappearance that made them unprepared.
Probably both, and the other avatars are chosen not for their fighting capabilities.
I don't know about you, but if you were to pit bankers, ceos and etc against marines, all of which possess a gun (or God/Goddess in this case) I think the marines are going to come out on top 10 out of 10 times. Which is probably why Harrow said "You are all judges, not fighters".
Then what about Tawaret? She hardly seems a combative type.
I'm referring to the Avatars themselves rather than the God/Goddess.
No matter how powerful the God/Goddess behind their avatar is, if the avatar themselves are not experienced in fighting, then they can be easily taken out by someone more experienced.
In gaming terminology, the avatars that got killed are of production/non-combative classes. Sure, they may possess combative boons from their God/Goddess, but ultimately they are not meant to fight due to their skillset. Especially so when they never really have to fight, mostly using their power to seal God/Goddesses from the Chamber of Gods without any resistance.
Layla, Marc and Harrow on the other hand, possesses combat classes. While Taweret may not exactly provide combative boons, the stat bonuses and etc will be beneficial to Layla's original class role anyway.
He wasn’t wrong, she did look amazing.
Her costume is so simple and elegant and those wing blades are just Chef's Kiss
And it’s not egregiously sexualised either. She looks fine but not because she was wearing some ludicrous suit that showed too much skin
Between her and Jane Thor from the Thor trailer, I sure am glad to see some guns represented on screen. Can't wait to see She-Hulk in action, too.
Personally I'm looking forward to sexy buff she hulk. Death by snu-snu!
This is the way
2nd best female superhero costume in the MCU behind Scarlet Witch's final costume in Wandavision.
Highlight of the episode for me no doubt!
Layla might be my favorite new addition to the MCU!
Badass bitch who can stand up to a god even when in desperate circumstances? Check.
Obsessed with Egyptian shit like Stevie (and myself)? Check!
Coolest mfking costume and fighting style I’ve seen in a long time? Check!
Bonus: hair.
Layla is bae.
She’s great, I hope we don’t have to wait too long to see her again.
I love that Steven took over while Layla and Marc were talking just so he could compliment Layla. Like, Layla and Marc were having a serious conversation, and Steven had to cut in to compliment her awesome new look. His crush on Layla is the cutest thing.
I'd love to know how Marc is gonna handle that going forward. He's established a kind of older brother role towards Steven, but that doesn't mean he's going to be okay with essentially his younger brother figure hitting on his wife! I wonder if they're going to establish boundaries, take some time away from Layla to figure everything out, come up with some sort of custody agreement for the body...
100%. I could watch episodes of just Marc, Steven, and Layla figuring out how everything is going to work.
It's really nice that apparently Marc and Steven are coexisting now in a way where it seems both of them are conscious at the same time and swapping back and forth seamlessly, but I guess that opens up a new can of worms when it comes to boundaries, privacy, and Layla.
Steven's crush on Layla is great and Layla does seem to like Steven, but they've only known each other for a couple of days. Whereas Marc and Layla are/were literally married and have a long past.
I don't know how it tends to work with DID in real life, but I agree with your take in that Marc seems to see Steven as a little brother rather than a different version of himself so they're different people.
I've seen people with DID answer this question a few times and they generally seem to agree that it's a very individual thing. Some people date as a system and others have different relationships as different alters. The brother vibe is so strong with Marc and Steven, though, it would be weird to imagine Marc being okay with it, in the same way that you wouldn't like your brother taking up with your wife even if you broke up with her. But it's also weird to imagine Steven NOT going for it... The chemistry was off the charts and he's going to be along for the ride now whenever Marc and Layla are together. Complicated!!!
Marc: “Stop flirting with her! That’s my wife!”
Steven: “Our wife.”
She likes a Steven in the streets and a Marc in the sheets
adds new meaning to switching up the positions
I don't think he was flirting to be honest, he was just nerding out on something ancient Egyptian!
Why not both?
yeah not sure that was flirting but that look on her face just because they cut to the next scene was definitely her liking it as flirting.
Steven being excited by him and Layla both getting cool super powers to try out is so precious.
Is it polyamory if Layla is married to both of them? Or is it still a monogamous relationship if her two husbands share 1 body lol
I laughed out loud in public at that switch to Steven
