I'm not sure there's a side that says they're guilty because they're black, WTF, but there's definitely a side that says a bunch of people are guilty because they got caught running a scam on the government for hundreds of millions of dollars from the Somalia immigrant community. Walz is a 🤡 by the way. Down vote shields activated while reddit angry mob does it's thing.
I have friends who currently live there and some who are from there and love the area For all the recreation and cultural things around the city when it's not cold season.
I'm unaware of hundreds of individuals at the White House scamming the government out of hundreds of millions if not several BILLIONS of reimbursements from taxpayers (as is finally coming to light via some ambush videos exposing it the past week or so).
The fraud and grift in Minneapolis isn't partisan, it's easy to objectively look at it and be angry about it as a taxpayer, vs being angry at the priorities of an administration you perhaps fundamentally disagree with.
From what I've read, there's a lot of history with this particular population running government scams for healthcare and child care in Minneapolis, it's just there's a fresh wave of it which is a blight on an otherwise beautiful city.
Changpeng Zhao, George Santos, Tim Leiweke, Todd and Julie Chrisley, Devon Archer were all pardoned by Donald for fraud this year alone.
Not saying I support pardons made by either administration (I mean come on, preemptively pardoning your entire family?) But even allowing for those names you just mentioned it's still not hundreds of people and billions of dollars.
Its billions of dollars and only a few dozen people. More people doing individually less.. is worse?
He literally pardoned a fraudster caught for 1.3b, including nearly a dozen others.
Minnesotan here. Walz refers to my type as a rock and/or cow. We keep trying to vote him out but MSP holds 2/3 of the voting population so it's been hard. He let the twin cities burn for 3 days to ensure he kept their votes the last time. I love my state, truly, from the nature to all of the great concerts in downtown Mpls over the years and everything in-between, but it's really taken a turn the last few years. And not that it matters, as I'll get downvoted anyway for having an opinion on the matter, but I'm an independent.
Former MN resident. We left MN due to Walz and his "management" of the state. It's a damn shame, because as other posters have said, MN really is a beautiful place. Unfortunately it is being slowly destroyed, all while the metro populace cheers it on.
Where did you relocate to out of curiosity? I’m always curious about where transplants go after leaving for the reasons you mentioned. Texas and Florida are popular ones for similar reasons recently
I’ve lived in mid Minnesota (Kanabec county, Mille lacs county, stearns county and even yellow medicine county) IT IS FKN ROCKS AND COWS.
