ThinkPad with Linux is $150 less than with windows
But probably they don't come with Debian, no?
Ubuntu available as OEM, no Debian installed at the manufacturer. But if you believe the Three Amigos, tequila is like beer, and Ubuntu is like Debian.
Ubuntu and Fedora
But those are custom configurations, so you don't find as many deals as on pre-configured laptops, which all come with Windows.
But if it's a deal then the price is already lower.
When ingot my X1 carbon with Fedora installed, I proceeded to reinstall. I don't know why the installation doesn't come in a Luka encrypted partition by default. I wouldn't carry an unencrypted laptop. That's my only beef. Oh, and that I haven't figured out how to turn on secure boot.
Fedora or Ubuntu.
But doesn’t matter, Linux is Linux. Distributions are responsible for the package-management.
