LVT in central Tx, $25/hr, 4yrs experience (Supposed to be getting a raise in April🤞🤞)
Kind of, I feel like the pay is a tad better since we’re close to Austin. But I also feel like the pay is all over the place. Just looking on indeed I’ve seen as low as $18 and as high as $28 so I think it really depends on licensing status and your experience to be able to shoot on the higher end
I am employed in the Woodlands area, not licensed vet tech at a private practice.. I make $13.5 🙃🫠 3 years experience as a tech, 5-8 yrs with animals in general via volunteer work
And also what kind of practice it is. A lot of the emergency clinics around here are in the mid to high $20s. And if you’re with VEG and pass their assessments could be making into the $30s. I’m in GP but I do feel my clinic pays us better than some in the area
I’m an unlicensed tech in deep east Texas. In the city I’m in there are 6 clinics, and I’ve been told by techs from other practices that the one I work at is the highest paid in town. We usually start at $15, but that is for minimal experience and we do mostly OTJ training. Other clinics in town start at about 12-13. We are a 2 doctor practice and have boarding, mostly GP but we take on urgent cases not needing 24hr care(if they do we refer to an emergency hospital)
