So Q3 is actually starting on June 30th for Valve, while the rest of the world who can count to 3 will be starting Q3 on schedule the day after. Valve is just kinda quirky, uwu

Quarters are 3 full months long. There are 4 quarter's in a year. Q3 starts on July 1st. It's simple math. They're starting Q3 emails early, but that does not make it Q3.
Which part of the year is "after Q3" then? Because normally that would be Q4 wouldn't it!? Yet Valve, or Steam, refer to it as before Q4 begins. As I'll be receiving my Steam Deck from them, I'd go with whatever they say the end of each Q is.
If something happens and they cancel Q4, does that mean no Christmas?
After Q3 is Q4 - End of time.

You've confirmed my fears that Valve have created a time paradox with their pre-ordering language. We should all lobby them to use this power to bring fuel prices back down.
Lol I think the after Q2 and then after Q3 is because they don't know how fast they can fulfill them. It seems many people including myself are surprised they actually finished up Q2. I saw a post recently showing math of how they'd never finish in time lmao.

You are correct, Valve starting Q3 Orders on the last day of Q2 is a sign of confidence in production speed.
All of Q2 is done, there's no reason to not ship on the 30th just bc there are no more Q2 orders.
But plus for being correct, this is a good sign many of us will actually recieve Decks sooner than expected.
