There will likely be a couple of events in the coming weeks of this season.
Until then, free skate and catching clips are the main parts for many players. If that doesn't interest you, you can get creative and build a group that wants to do other stuff or find the Discords that do big groups too.
We don't have multiplayer modes or custom parks, yet. And we're still missing parts of the map, but if you're honest with yourself, you'll likely push through that content and end up bored again.
It's ok to put a game down for a while and go with something else. Early access can be like that. Hell, even games in full release are like this these days.
As a father of 3, working full time and getting pulled back into 5 days in office, I can barely scratch the surface of stuff, like just yesterday I looked at the map and felt overwhelmed at the amount of stuff I have to do on it. I had the feeling like "they are too many things to do here, it's overwhelming" - dont know how me saying this helps you at all but like, just found it interesting.
edit: after posting this comment just realized I might have an option for you, as an avid Skater XL player (which is a game that has literally nothing to do in it) maybe try challenging yourself to make a skate edit part, with the new keyframes added in there is alot you can do now, plan out some spots or lines, and try and make something rad.
Sounds like you just need to be honest with yourself if playing the game is fun for you in its current state. No one's gonna judge you for letting it go for a while. I personally don't uninstall, but it's just so that if I miss news of an update, I'll still see it in my notifications.
The events will release, you'll go directly to completing the tasks/challenges in a day and be right back where you were when you posted this. I doubt much will be added to the map aside from community parks, which didn't go so well last season 😂
And how many games of Skate or HoM challenges would hold your attention?
I just hop on to keep up with dailies as I watch the development unfold. And the weekly cycle will be nice to have here and there with new OTL and Season challenges. Luckily, a bunch of games are out or coming out, so there's a lot for me to explore outside of this during that time.
