Yeah, I'm reaching that point. It feels like every woman I've talked to on apps is playing the field instead of committing to talking to one guy and see where it goes. I only talk to one women at a time, and they always end up picking the other guy over me. 😞
That's what happens when you have much more males than females in dating pool.
Depends on the value the males bring to the table. Women have jobs and their own bank accounts and can vote and can buy their own stuff these days. It’s not like the 50’s when a woman had to have a guy to survive. Now that women can be as self sufficient as men have been able to be they’re doing the same thing men have been doing forever: asking “what good do you bring into my life? What value do you add? Why should I consider being with you?”
It’s not merely a numbers game. You could literally be the last guy on the planet and if you bring the vibes down at all then you could spend your life alone because the women are satisfied being by themselves and will only consider you if you add value to their lives.

Men who get dates know this isn't true. I date a lot, and always pay for dinner because I find the conversation over splitting or not splitting the bill to be more annoying and awkward than just picking up the check myself. Many women will try to insist on splitting the bill right then and there, and almost every woman I get followup dates with will offer to pick up the check on the second or third dinner.
To be fair, I date women who are my age, around my league, and typically liberal/feminist types. A more traditionally minded woman, or one much younger than you, will probably have higher expectations around being provided for.
Yeah, that's why women compete for top 10% males. So women are satisfied by themselves but compete for a slow number of very high valuable men. Seems plausible :)

Dude made a blatantly factually inaccurate assumption that is probably a held belief that is self limiting. My reply was that that’s not at all how women work, that women aren’t a monolith, and that women’s standards have shifted with the acquisition of individual freedoms they didn’t have just a few decades ago.
Women are much more able to care for themselves financially these days and therefore the days of requiring a bread-winning husband are behind us and this is a large part of why women don’t deal with “low value” males (to use the terminology I imagine y’all are familiar with.) This is simply a fact.
Nothing moralistic or “soap box” like about it. Simply correcting him on a factual level.

Yep, the first one I was talking to in high school told me she loved me, then proceeded to go to her other friend I didn’t know about. The second one straight up ghosted me after texting for about two weeks. Third one was just a crazy bitch, and I don’t even know what I was thinking about that one, maybe I was just horny at the beginning. We almost had sex at a hotel room but I couldn’t because it didn’t feel right to me with her. Honestly, I don’t know anymore if I will ever find one. I’m just going to take a break and maybe pay to fuck women once in a while. I just don’t know anymore.

This happens, but it's far more common that two broken people find each other and make each other significantly worse. There's a reason domestic violence rates are so high (36% of women and 29% of men in the USA are victims of DV)
