They had a outbreak of corona in their warehouse, but we only found out through another shop, they need to be more transparent if they don't want people bitter about it.

I think that's more BS. They're telling us one thing and telling their wholesale sellers something different. There have been SO many lies!!! First made in Hong Kong, then made in China, then manufacturers had protests in Hong Kong or China, then quality control, then... And we get all this info piecemeal rather than honest, timely updates from MLR. Sketch as hell.
We don't know if the skates are manufactured in HK or China just that the manufacturer is Chinese. In a previous interview Adrienne did, before the company blew up, it mentions her wanting to visit their new facility in HK before the covid hit. On one side we have internet conjecture and on the other we have the word of business woman, and I don't trust either very much.
Edit: so it looks like they changed the manufactured in HK to manufactured in China, I guess that clears that up.
Doesn't really change my opinion on the skates, but oof it would have been nice find that out from an official correction and not some MLR rep on insta.
MLR only changed the website once this was called out here on Reddit. Us keeping them accountable is actually working.
I hope whoever got coronavirus will be okay!! Wow, yeah, I mean that is totally a valid reason to have a delay, just wish MLR themselves would communicate that
They just sent out an email that we should expect order in the next 2-3weeks
I actually just saw that, I'm glad they took down the current stock on their website cuz I can't even imagine how much work they have ahead of them with all this pandemic ish going on. I'm feeling better about it now that they have communicated this to us
Did they take down their stock? I checked just this morning and they were still up, that was fast.
I haven't checked, but that's how I interpreted their message of "taking down all standing stock from the [MLR] website"
