You literally just admitted this was AI generated in a different comment but okay.
How about you don't post a lazy ass ChatGPT message then? Take your time to read it and format it.
Your message is made worse when it's flattened by AI. It might sound good at first glance, but it now more often than not it comes off as hacky and disingenuous.
There are so many bots and other bullshit regurgitating the dumbest LLM outputs - that any attempt to use it seriously like you are here, is severely undercut by the reality that these tools are mostly being used in deeply unserisous and manipulative ways.
Except not really as the message is augmented and changed by AI.
This is the issue
I just don't believe that you've thought very hard about this - and how can I - anyone can just input this conversation to an LLM and get ~something~ that is marginally intelligent and thoughtful.
I'd frankly rather see spelling errors, grammatically inefficient writing and awkward phrasing because then it seems real. It shows that the person was actually thinking critically about the topic rather than putting some thoughts and emotions into a text box for a bot to flesh out for them.
According to you - why should I believe you? I only have your word to trust, and a lot of people lie on the internet - and AI has just made the ability to convincingly lie online infinitly easier.
Preaching to the choir - however I think making everything read and feel very similarly by placing an AI filter on it is bad. It makes it even more likely to cause the ostracization of people who do not filter their communication through an AI
Glad you believe that, but why should I believe it?
Maybe smth more direct and unfiltered like
"Bruh, just gimme my smut 🖕"
might have been seen as more authentic 😆
After all, the readership of this subreddit gets tuned out of AI-ism, having to face that everyday. It gets stale - and with the noise of the word, it lacks a certain... personable aspect?
I don't think that it's anything personal, though! people's natural pattern recognition picks up that shit.
I'm ND too; also had initial doubts like you and wasn't confident with my drafts. Had plenty of badly received posts, but well... I eventually tried out LLMs as a tool for feedback instead to see where I went wrong instead of letting them write the whole stuff 'cause it snuffs so much of my voice that it gets grating. Maybe try that out? It can be a good balance for authenticity and readability?
(Though nowadays I just accept the downvotes if I get them - I cope with my headcanon that there might a certain resilience that can be earned after going through the wringer 😗).
? You're talking about something completely different.
I'm frustrated with how lame and corporate these tools are, how unimaginative the people using them are. These things could be used for things like the molecular analysis of causes for cancer, and instead we have more focus on complaints about how it's not good enough at analyzing smut.
We have these fantastic and potentially incredibly useful tools, and people (especially on this sub) are far more focused on getting grammar help so they don't actually have to learn good writing techniques, or generating good-looking AI-porn. It's frankly pathetic.
