I’m firm in my opinion that anyone rooting for a better draft pick should go root for the Arizona Cardinals or the Raiders. If you ever want the team to lose, you’re a bullshit fan. That’s not our culture. We are a championship level franchise.
Losing on purpose or rooting for losses isn't a ‘sacrifice for a better future’. It's setting the future on fire. It's a relenting of your culture, letting everyone in the building know that losing is now OK. Life, business or football, once you accept less and losing becomes ok, then it's easier for everyone to quit and give up next time too. You never lay down your culture.
you are not a bullshit fan for wanting your team to be in the best possible position for next year when this year is down the drain. I for one would like to see us shut Mahomes down for the rest of the year if we arent making the playoffs anyways so that A) he is healthy going into next season and B) we give ourselves the best possible chance at loading up on talent in the draft. Also we are far as fuck away from being a championship level franchise this year

its not rooting for them to lose, its sitting the important players to ensure they are healthy for next year. And no im not spitting on the players, the players who are half assing it and playing undisciplined ball are spitting on the fans who support them (cough cough Chris Jones just standing around while Trevor runs in for a game winning td). If you cant see that this is a lost year and we need to do what we can to best set ourselves up for the 2nd half of Mahomes career then maybe you are the one spitting on the players you supposedly support
I'm only fine rooting for failure once eliminated from the playoffs. Then I'd be fine playing Minshew for the rest of the season. Until then I expect them to play as well as possible.
