If it weren’t for 3, NV, and 4, fallout would just be another game lost in time like Ultima or Planescape
I don’t think this is that serious of an issue, and I doubt if you asked Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky, or any of the others from the original interplay Entertainment Fallout team, that they would mind too much.
Especially because the article just says Todd Howard is a “Fallout Creator”, not “The Creator of Fallout” which is technically a different statement.
However it’s true they probably should have just used Todd Howard’s name instead.
On the other hand, for all intents and purposes he is the lead of the teams that make modern Fallout, and has the final say on any content in the current games and media, so this isn’t too horribly inaccurate, in the modern sense of the franchise.
Besides certain groups of people do like to say “Bethesda Fallout isn’t Fallout” anyways, so they can just read it as “Bethesda Fallout Creator” if it makes them feel better about the title of the article. xD

To be clear in my views of the situation.
I think it’s dumb that people say that “Bethesda Fallout isn’t Fallout”, but i figure the people that are this mad at something as inconsequential as this article’s title likely have that opinion, so that’s why I made the suggestion in jest.
To me, Fallout is Fallout, and basically everyone who has ever actually worked on the series, including its original creators, seems to feel that way as well.
It’s just certain sections of “fans” who have this weird aggression towards the various games and spend an unhealthy amount of time making sure everyone knows how much they dislike them.
I think this (the article) is unintentionally but correctly describing Todd as the creator of the Bethesda Fallout.
Because the original Fallout games are either well known by some people, or not at all by others.
I'm probably regurgitating the obvious but the only people bothered by this are the ones that don't want to credit Todd for shit and would rather take things out of context and act like the jump from Fallout 2 to 3 isn't essentially a reboot.

The article is about an interview with Todd Howard who is the current creative lead of the Fallout Franchise, and some people are getting way too worked up over a generic headline, because they apparently truly despise the man beyond meme’ing.
Which is why I made the joke I did in the first place, because this is not that serious, and the actual original team who made Fallout would likely say as much if they were in this subreddit.

They despise the man as if he's the overarching God over Bethesda.
No doubt he can make some shitty decisions, or lack of creative decisions imo, but at the end of the day it's a group effort and the overarching demon is Microsoft. He's a easy scapegoat though to give the inane and insane credit.
