It has never gotten easier to progress it has only gotten harder to progress wipe after wipe. We even playing the same game? I can point at numerous examples where week 1 some hideout stuff was a set amount of stuff and they added more requirements after week 3. They are purposely gate keeping the game because we got streamers speed running to Kappa every wipe, that is not the goal for 90% of people. I don't have hours and hours a day to progress a game that will wipe in 6 months anyway. If I wanted to just play the game I can't because people are so far ahead of me I cannot do anything. I can't buy good gear to compete. Bring back level 1 open market with the ability to sell EVERYTHING there. This is the biggest fuck up to try to keep RMT down, guess what RMT is still ongoing, hell I'd say its gotten worse.
Edit: I've been playing this game since Reserve was the new map. Several wipes ago, it used to be fun but now its just a job.

Again show me the evidence that it has gotten easier. It has not it literally has not this is a non-factual statement. I'd love to see you skills against a dude in level 5 armor with an altyn and you have a kedr thats not skill its just straight up imbalance. This is cope.
How many raids did you do last wipe? I got to lvl 56 and Kappa, but I think I haven't seen more than 10 people running altyns (OR rys-ts, btw) because there is no reliable way of getting them.
I ran into a guy running an Altyn on ground zero literally today. On the map that's capped to level 20.
That doesn't mean it is the norm and you constantly find people with that kind of gear, it doesn't prove your point.
Hyperbole isn't helping.
Its been give and take. Yes, the hideout has been requiring more items to be found for certain upgrades since its first been introduced (either giving use to already existing barter items or adding brand new rare items in), however, at the same time, loads of hideout crafts have been added that specifically help early questing and alleviate a lot of the friction in those regards.
Stop acting like its all doom and gloom, it doesn't help your case.
Stop acting like the problem with this game is not having a fucking ammo chart. This community has the most ass takes on the state of the game. Its not even a game anymore its a fucking job except I'm not getting paid.
Edit: Also the progression is easier is a fucking straight up lie or cope, progression has been locked harder and harder every wipe. Single use keys, can't buy keys on the flea, and can't buy armor. This happened literally maybe 2 wipes ago. They are gate keeping progression. Please give me a couple examples where the game got easier, I'll wait.
Never said anything about an ammo chart so cool your jets there.
If by progression is getting harder you mean you cant buy literally everything you need off the flea, then yeah it has been.
But as you asked, numerous crafts added via the hideout for FIR quest items for alternate methods of completion. (This alone should count as several examples but, gas analyzers, 60 rounders for ice cream cones, flash drives and morphines are all things that have been added in such a way that you can craft them if unlucky in raid finding them)
At several points, quest requirements have been adjusted to be easier to complete and or streamlined.
Customs map expansion made customs not a slog to try and fight through as there were only two lanes to push and a massive choke in the center.
Hell, the BTR this patch even makes the game easier by giving you and out to your items mid raid.
Over all, I think the game has come a long way for the better over the years and I in fact enjoy it much more in 2023 than i did when i first started playing it esp when the entire game was warped around a given items rouble value and a good 60 to 70% of the items in game were effectively ignored lootwise because they were worthless (why barter when the flea exists.)
Edit: Part of what you may be confusing for "gateing content" is the attempts to prolong the new wipe progression longer. That is fair but the general consensus for tarkov seems to be that early wipe is when the game is most enjoyable when ttk is higher and everyone is using what they can find. I happen to agree with that take and do think that while the flea is needed, the game shouldn't be warped around it and they have been doing imo a good job of that over all from at least my perspective and enjoyment.
Yes, we are playing the same game, but it is clear we have different skill levels.
Progression is easier now than it was in the past, it has never been easier to get to lvl 42 by questing, to get loads of money and/or hideout items from a single map etc.
Oh its a skill issue uh huh.. sure kid, shill harder. You wearing better armor isn't a fucking skill issue bro, its a time issue. How many hours does it take you to get to level 42? Unless you just fucking no life this game for literal weeks straight I doubt it. Its not a skill issue what a hot garbage take.
I don't know the exact hour count, but last wipe it took me exactly 1 month and 1 day to get to lvl 42. Played on evenings and week-ends and I wasn't desperate about PMC progression, so I had days where I just scav-ed factory for quick money runs while watching a stream on another monitor. 1 month to have everything unlocked from 5-6 months wipe cycles doesn't feel that much...
Also, IMO the barters you got at lvl 3 traders were better than the gear you could buy at lvl 4 (maybe except a couple of top-tier ammos), I could run above-average kits easy.
Lvl 15 for Flea is an annoyance, agreed, but it's not as game breaking as you make it sound like.
