i think the timing is odd because it’s their busier season right now, but as someone else said, burn is a business. there are tons of people in my local moms group who are coming in this week who have been interested or “meaning to try that out” for a while. i started on the new years january promo 2 years ago and it was the best thing i’ve ever done. i imagine there are more “me’s” out there now who are taking advantage of this promo, and burn will be an amazing catalyst for change for them.
I think it’s to catch everyone before school is back in session. Give people plenty of chance to try it out before dropping kids off at school and what not, more opportunities for class attendance throughout the whole day
sure sure that’s fair. i’ve worked in marketing for a really long time and typically big promos like this are done in the slower season. back to school is a really busy season for parents, so getting to the gym can be hard especially if it’s not in your routine already. i just felt the timing was odd
Good point! Yeah seems like they’d try to do it when they lose the most clients, but it’s definitely working to get people there because the classes are PACKED!
our location is doing childwatch as normal but for last minute sign ups, trial members get priority. how is yours doing it?
For childwatch spots on a regular week we already have to sign up as soon as they open or they go so fast… But then people cancel last minute or don’t cancel at all which doesn’t give others the opportunity to sign up. So now that they’re offering the free week, people who want to try it out basically can’t use childwatch unless they do like 5:30pm. There’s a “waitlist” but it’s frustrating when you get the notification 5 minutes before camp starts.
