Anyone else have those potato smiley faces for Primary School lunch?
They're awesome. I used to eat a whole bag when high.
Along with some Bernard Matthews Turkey Twizzlers/dinosaurs and some beans in tomato sauce and that a good ol' fashioned kids meal
Was walking through Sainsburys the other day and found the latest version of the potato smiley..... "Mashtags".... That's right, potato hashtags. This generation. Honestly.
while they were frozen?
30 years old, still eat them now and again.
I always felt sorry for the potatoes. They didn't ask to be homogenated, fried and consumed. How do we know that they were happy? It's like the permanent smile of a suffering dolphin trapped in terrible conditions, except forced upon them by the hand of their unjust creators.
Who the fuck is cutting onions???
Still had those when I graduated high school back in 2009.
Yes. Still in high school and Michelle Obama has replaced those with sweet potato fries and sweet potato puffs. It's the greatest tragedy of our generation
My mum works at the high school I went to. The year after I graduated, there was a massive overhaul in the school lunches. Fries of any type were gone, all vending machines were removed, they're only allowed to sell 2% milk, everything has to be baked, frying not allowed. It sounds like prison. When i'm like 70, and all school lunches are Paleo-vegan-whatever, this will be one of those things where I go, "you know, back in my day, you could get all the good, fried food you wanted at school, but you were damned if you were caught with a joint!"
And the kids will go "lolsource, grandpa, that never happened!"
5p each at my school back in the day.. Dangerous.
That is rough.
American here, got those in like fifth grade (10-11 years old for you communists)
The best thing about being a primary school teacher is the nostalgia! We still have these :).
