ABC stands for "Airway, Breathing, Circulation"
Airway - tilt the unconscious victim's head up by the chin and look for obstructions within.
Breathing - check if victim's breathing properly
Circulation - check their blood flow and heart.
and D is the duct tape?
No, D is "Damn it he died"
Check for danger first. Then check to see if you can get a response from them. Next check for a catastrophic (pumping out, huge pool of blood) bleed - that needs sorting out before anything else. Next clear their airway by head tilt - it will stop the tongue from blocking their airway. Get your ear down there and check to see if they're breathing while looking down the chest to see if it's rising and falling. Now get someone to call an ambulance saying if they're breathing or not. If they are breathing, great; recovery position (unless spinal injury suspected) and treat bleeds. Keep monitoring breathing. If they are not breathing, get someone to get a defibrillator and then start CPR. Pray the ambulance or defib gets there quick.
Thank you.
And DEFG: Don’t ever forget glucose.
