Restore AllHide UnarchivedMy son is currently dealing with the fallout of moving a girlfriend in too soon. They dated for 6 months before she moved in with him. They broke up a few weeks ago, but until she finds another place to live they are stuck in the house together. She is absolutely torturing him emotionally for choosing to end things.
Does he own the place? Why is ‘t she on the streets? Why aren’t you forcing your son to kick her out?
he would legally have to evict her as she is a resident now
I hope I raised my son better than to put a woman on the streets simply because they are no longer romantically involved.
And my son is a grown man, I would never attempt to force him to do anything.
What about if that woman is a drug addict, or a cheater who’s bring people into your son house when he’s at work. Every circumstance is different!
Sure, every circumstance is different. In this instance, she isn’t a drug addict or bringing guys to my son’s home. She is an angry and hurt young woman verbally lashing out at the man who broke her heart.
Yes, it’s hard for my son having to deal with this side of her that he never saw previously because they jumped to living together too soon.
But he has the emotional intelligence to recognize it for what it is and to learn from his mistake.
I think "emotionally torturing" is a bit much, don't you think?
I don’t disagree, it’s probably more like emotionally tormenting.
But as a mother, I naturally hate that my son is hurting, regardless of the mistake he made in moving a woman he barely knew into his home. So it feels like torture to me.
Hey, I just wanna say you’re a good mum.
Please don't worry. I promise that he will be OK. I mean, he's an adult. Please dont forget that. If you start to potty, just ask yourself, " Why would he ask a girl he 'barely knows' to move in with him?" Please don't be upset with me. Just giving some perspective. Take care.
Well you are saying she is emotionally torturing him. When something like that happens, all history is not relevant anymore. She needs to find something else asap
It could be she wasn't a horrible person but they simply weren't compatible. You wouldn't want to just throw someone out immediately if that were the case. Not to mention she's likely on the lease just as much as he is if they're renting
Exactly.
30 is not young 😬
She’s 30, not 18, that’s a full grown adult women
